Swans deliver for locals

//September 24, 2019

Sydney Swans pair Jarrad McVeigh and Jordan Dawson recently visited local students and footballers in the Moore Park area.

The afternoon started with a visit to Crown Street Public School where the duo ran a Volkswagen Swansfit session for the local students to help them on getting to understand the importance of keeping fit and some of the basic skills of AFL.

They then headed across to Bat and Ball Oval to run a junior clinic for players in the Under 10’s, 11’s and 12’s that play football in the area.

Dawson said it was important not to underestimate the impact of such visits on the local community.

“Jarrad and I just visited a local school in the area and then have just come over to Bat and Ball Oval to run a clinic for some of the Moore Park Tigers players,”

“It’s always a good experience and something you never forget as a kid, so hopefully we have given them some good advice and they have some memories that will last a lifetime.”
