It was a Friday night in March 2022, and the stage was set for history. The Sydney Swans were up against Geelong at the SCG, with a crowd of more than 36,000 eagerly watching from the stands. The atmosphere was electric with anticipation for one of the greatest moments in AFL history – Buddy Franklin's 1000th goal. When Buddy finally lined up, the stadium was buzzing. As the ball sailed through the posts pandemonium erupted, with fans spilling onto the field in celebration.
