peter weinert museum
Open to the public at Sydney Swans HQ, located in the Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park. The museum welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 10am to 4pm and on Sydney Swans home game days at the SCG. Admission is free.
The Sydney Swans. Established as South Melbourne FC in 1874, ours is one of the oldest football clubs in the world. A founding member of the VFL, the club's relocation to Sydney in 1982 was the genesis of today's AFL national competition. Our football club is one with a truly unique and rich history.

Located at the Sellers & Colless Centre – Sydney Swans HQ in Moore Park – the museum is named in honour of Peter Weinert, a Sydney Swans Life Member and former president, whose contributions to the club have been immeasurable.

The museum takes visitors on a journey, from the club's humble beginnings in South Melbourne in 1874 to its modern-day triumphs. From prized premiership cups to stories detailing the heroics of Hall of Fame members and Brownlow medallists, the Peter Weinert Museum showcases the people, events, and achievements that have shaped the Sydney Swans today.
Visitors will be immersed in a blend of digital and interactive displays, captivating memorabilia and rare artefacts, including premiership caps from as far back as 1888, a guernsey from the 1918 premiership win, Bob Skilton’s three Brownlow medals and Ryan O’Keefe’s 2012 Norm Smith Medal.
"PRESERVING THE ESSENCE OF THE SYDNEY SWANS' JOURNEY IS PARAMOUNT; IT'S A TESTAMENT TO THE ROOTS THAT GROUND US, THE MOMENTS THAT DEFINE US, AND THE LEGACY THAT CONTINUES TO INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION OF ATHLETES AND FANS ALIKE."
- Premiership player and Sydney Swans Foundation Ambassador, Josh Kennedy
